The New Student Orientation program includes activities designed to help you transition smoothly to campus life and prepare for an exciting first semester. Attendance at orientation is required and provides an opportunity to explore resources, build relationships with fellow students,staff, and administrators, reflect on your goals, and discover what it takes to be a successful Bobcat!
At orientation, you will:
- Get Connected - Ensure students are connected to a member of the UC Merced community
- Get Motivated - Ensure students are motivated to achieve their personal and/or academic goals
- Get Prepared - Ensure students feel ready to start their first semester successfully by being academically prepared and registered for their courses
