Pre-Orientation Checklist

 Things to do before Orientation:

  • Register for Orientation at orientation.ucmerced.edu
  • Print your free orientation day parking pass attached to the orientation registration confirmation email (sent to your UCM email address) you receive immediately after registering 
  • Check your UC Merced email often for orientation confirmation and updates, including your free orientation day parking pass attached to the confirmation email
  • Browse orientation.ucmerced.edu to answer your Orientation questions 
  • Send official, sealed, transcripts and test scores to UC Merced Admissions to the address below by July 15, 2009 (or 7 days prior to your Orientation date) 
  • Take online placement exams
  • Browse important dates and deadlines for new students
  • Log on to my.ucmerced.edu to:
         1. Complete My Checklist items 7 days prior to my orientation date
         2. Submit a Student Health Insurance Waiver
         3. Check to see if your transcripts and scores have been received
  • Apply for on-campus housing at housing.ucmerced.edu
  • Search campus jobs at careerservices.ucmerced.edu

Items to bring to Orientation:
  • Comfortable clothes and shoes
  • Paper copies of your transcript and test scores
  • Money to purchase UC Merced gear at the Bookstore

Orientation check-in will occur from 7:00-8:00 am on the day of your orientation.  The day program will begin promptly at 8:00 am.
